Product detailed description
How to dye already dyed or otherwise treated hair?
LIGHTENED HAIR: Herbatint can restore your hair to its natural color. As bleached hair is more porous, we recommend using a shade one shade lighter than your chosen shade. Reduce the exposure time by ten minutes and avoid cool and ashy shades.
PERMED HAIR: Do not dye your hair immediately after perming. We recommend waiting two weeks, using a shade one shade lighter than your chosen shade and reducing the exposure time by 10 minutes.
HENNA HAIR: Henna coats the hair, preventing the color from penetrating the hair. You should wait until the henna has completely washed out or the hair has grown back.
If you are unsure about the color you want, you can test it on a strand of hair. If you cannot decide between two shades, choose the lighter one.
How to mix two or more shades:
All Herbatint shades can be mixed with each other, but the same volume of color and developer must always be used. Example: If you want to mix 6N and 7D in the same ratio, mix 30 ml of coloring emulsion 6N and 30 ml of coloring emulsion 7D (= 60 ml of color) with 60 ml of developer.
You can also mix a coloring shampoo for washing out color from Herbatint colors. Read more here.

Facts about HERBATINT colors:
- Herbatint hair colors cover 100% of gray hair after the first application.
- Hair can be lightened up to 2 shades.
- One package is enough for up to two applications.
- Unlike henna, the colors are easy to mix, apply and do not smell. There is also a larger range of shades to choose from and hair can be colored with a more pronounced result.
- Herbatint colors do not contain ammonia, parabens, alcohol, resorcinol and have a lower hydrogen peroxide content.
- Although PPD (p-phenylenediamine) is a chemical, it is also an essential ingredient in permanent hair colors, which allows for effective gray hair coverage and helps create a wide range of color shades. Our legislation allows a 2% concentration of PPD in mixed and ready-to-use hair colors, but Herbatint contains only 0.37%.
- During pregnancy or after undergoing chemotherapy, it is recommended to consult a doctor before using dyes.
- Herbatint products are not recommended for dyeing beards, mustaches, eyebrows or eyelashes.
- It is always better to test dyes on a small patch of skin before application in case of an allergic reaction.

Herbatint is an Italian brand of permanent hair dyes with extracts from eight herbs, which are a more natural alternative to long-lasting hair coloring with 100% gray coverage.
In 1970, Herbatint colors were the first permanent hair color without ammonia, based on plant extracts. During development, the creators focused on the most gentle but effective way to color hair. Because other products from competing brands contained many chemicals that are hazardous to health, they decided to remove ammonia from their colors, which can be harmful to hair, skin and respiratory tract, as well as resorcinol, which can cause contact dermatitis, parabens, which are allergenic preservatives, and alcohol. They then reduced the hydrogen peroxide content to a minimum (after mixing the color, it is 3%, while European legislation for mixed and ready-to-use hair colors allows 6%).
Herbatint hair dyes are sold in 40 countries around the world. These are high-quality, consumer-safe products that are also suitable for sensitive skin, as evidenced by some of the awards this line has won. They also performed well in a test by the French independent consumer testing organization "60 millions consommateurs", which tested 18 international hair dye brands and of all those tested, Herbatint hair dye was the only product recommended for its health safety. However, other products were rated as containing more potentially harmful substances.
The fact that Herbatint dyes contain a much smaller amount of sensitizing substances than conventional hair dyes is also reflected in the conclusion of testing the product on specially selected individuals with a predisposition for sensitive skin, which reacts with redness or edema within 48 hours after exposure. Out of 160 tests, the entire Herbatint color range showed good to very good tolerance in subjects with such sensitive skin. The 36 natural-looking shades of permanent hair color contain 8 different organic herbal extracts, the combination of which strengthens and protects the hair while soothing the scalp.
The manufacturer guarantees that Herbatint colors are not tested on animals, are also suitable for vegans, and their paper packaging, which is of controlled origin, is fully recyclable.
