The shiny reishi mushroom or reishi is also called the queen of mushrooms - it has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for several millennia, in translation its name means the divine mushroom of immortality. It grows abundantly in Asia, but also in Finland, and it is from Finnish reishi that this extract comes.

In ancient China, mushrooms were most often dried, cut into slices and boiled in hot water, thus preparing hot tea or soup. Nowadays, the double extraction method is used - first the substance is extracted using hot water, thanks to which the cell wall is broken and it is possible to obtain the active substances. However, then extraction with alcohol is also necessary to release fat-soluble substances.

Reishi contains many active substances - polysaccharides, triterpenoids and peptidoglycans, which give reishi many properties. Reishi can be recommended as a very strong prevention and aid in serious conditions, weakness, imbalance and inappropriate reactions. Like all adaptogenic mushrooms, reishi has very strong properties related to oxidative stress, and can be recommended during high physical or mental stress as a general support for the body and mind.
