The collaboration between Vilac x Muséum national d'histoire naturelle (National Museum of Natural History) is new for 2023. Georges-Louis Leclerc, Count of Buffon (1707-1788) was the intendant of the royal botanical garden of France for almost 50 years, from 1739 until his death. His work Histoire naturelle (Natural History), in 36 illustrated volumes, was an extraordinary success immediately after its publication. A reproduced copy is kept in the National Museum of Natural History in Paris.
